TPSDE Facility

The European Commission launched the TPSDE Facility I in 2017 to support the role of the private sector and trade as drivers of growth. The Facility assisted the EU Delegations and European Commission Headquarters to better design and implement private sector and trade projects, in line with the EU’s 2014 Communication on the Role of the Private Sector in Development. After a successful first phase, a TPSDE Facility II was launched in September 2021.

Building on past achievements, the second phase of the Facility aims at improving the design and impact of EU interventions on trade, private sector development and engagement, and employability. It does so by providing advisory services, creating and disseminating knowledge, communicating on the goals and achievements , and supporting the Team Europe Initiative IYBA – Investing in Young Businesses in Africa.
