We empower African climate tech innovators for gender-responsive, research-based solutions

The SPARK project works to strengthen African technology ecosystems to support climate-smart, gender-responsive and research-based innovations. African climate tech startups face significant challenges, including high costs, long investment cycles, and a lack of specialised support. These barriers hinder their ability to develop impactful, market-ready solutions for CO2 adaptation and other climate issues. Additionally, there is a disconnect between startups and applied research, compounded by unfavourable legal frameworks.
